1989 dodge caravan turbo 5 speed from the factory. Black es with silver lower moldings. Has very minor dings. No rust. No roof rack. New clutch, struts and shocks, new tires on 16'' lebaron gtc wheels, new windshield, new fuel pump, radiator and other stuff. Runs good, was driven 50 miles daily. Needs paint on hood and roof. Very solid van that was a blast to drive. Has clean red interior. Does need headliner replaced. Price is firm. Reman Trans from new process gear (original manufacture) just installed works perfect. Needs rad cooling fan and some minor tlc. Has +20 fuel injectors installed. Thanks, John. Added pic of turbo mini when its clean.
I have nothing to add to this other than someone probably needs to do an SRT-4 swap.

yeah I had a friend in high school with a white one, turbo, stick, and pink turbo pinstiping. It was fun though

We used to have a guy on here who was pretty into these. From what I understand they are pretty brisk in stock form.

I learned to drive stick on one of those, minus the turbo. Cool memories.
This van sounds cool. $3200 seems a little steep, but it does have the liftgate handle still attached (they always fell off).

That's pretty sweet. The only thing that'd make a turbo mini van better would be pink pin striping.

I'm imagining a white leatherette interior with pink piping and white shag pile.

sorry to disappoint, the interior was the lamest part. grey 80's mopar cloth! Those shift levers were long as hell though. Like stirring up a bucket of sheetrock mud

I'm not listening to you. In my mind this van is totally wicked.

Lots of extra expense to do that.
There are TONS of mods for the factory 2.2. Although the Caravan wasn't available from the factory with the TII, that motor was all forged, and will handle 20 psi without block mods (orings). It's a direct bolt in.
This particular van, being an ES, might be a tad heavy.
This is like mine, with an auto. No options, center bench seat removed, I believe just under 3,000 lbs. And a little extra boost.
Edit:where's the pic, kinja???

That's basically how I envisioned it.

All of that quite correct. BUT shoving a turbo 2.4 into the engine bay would be delightful if for no other reason that someone actually did it, and as such would be widely regarded as a true American hero not seen since the likes Eisenhower.

And, someone has.
Behold an SRT4 Caravan. Someone has also informed me that the old 413 auto will bolt right up so the old body will also take the 2.4

Welp. That just got added to my long list of cars I want to own, but, due to unfortunate circumstances, probably never will.

Plenty of people 2.4 swap these vans. It’s a waste of time as the 2.5L Turbo can easily handle over 300hp for far less money.
